Self-taught designer Simon Porte Jacquemus left fashion school at 19 to launch his own namesake label. Choosing to work at the Comme des Garçons store on the Rue du Faubourg Saint-Honoré, the designer created his own collections during spare time. Tellingly, the move inspired his love of exaggerated proportion and deconstructed silhouettes, which inform his refreshingly modern take on classic French design.
